SURPRISING REDEMPTION

! , Episode Thirty-Five For the past seven (!) episodes we’ve focused on a shocking, entirely iconoclastic Talmudic statement in which our Sages seem to urge a de-emphasis of Moshiach to suggest that diverting our attention from the subject would best accelerate His long-awaited arrival. Upon proving that a literal understanding of this cryptic contradicts copious, well-founded Torah truisms – in three consecutive episodes we clarified the Gemara in variety of unique, yet kindred ways, all of which facilitated full compatibility with authentic time-honoured Torah tradition and theology. In subsequent episodes we went on to introduce a deeper spiritual meaning of "Hesach HaDaas" (lit. diverting or removing one's mind or attention). Newly framed as a transcendence of the limitations imposed by rational mindfulness; depicted as a particular methodology in spiritual devotion – one that can, and will please G-d, uniquely accelerate redemption. Then we went on to introduce a novel, elegantly creative translation of "Hesach" (in a most literal manner) as “moving away from” or “journeying beyond” well-trodden pathways to travel a new road leading us to redemption. This ultimately embodied a newly augmented approach to the Lurianic mystical concept of Tikkun Olam, representing the idea of spiritual global healing and restoration! In the immediate past episode, we further delineated necessity of a novel approach that would challenge and transcends the orbit of normative Yiddishkiet engagement to dynamically hasten and catalyze Moshiach's arrival! In this eighth and final rumination on the subject, we’ll open by reviewing and solidifying the most recent approach of resolution and explanation, only to delve far more deeply into the details. Weaving seemingly disparate new sources together, a striking tapestry of fresh insight into the original Talmudic statement will emerge. Ultimately, we are led into a fantastic new way of seeing the Talmud’s surprising choice of phenomenon that can now be seen a secret code of surprise indicating how we may scale new horizons to complete the journey into the era of redemption!
